
The nuthatch is an all year resident here. I enjoy its aerobatics and nasal call. It’s that call that usually alerts you to their presence.

We have only the red-breasted nuthatches here but I’m sure they are very similar in many ways. Sweet birds.

Nice catch in its classic pose, Belinda. 👏🏼 Ours go off into the woods in summer and now that the feeder is up, they, along with chickadees and titmice, are back. Happy days!
