The nuthatch is an all year resident here. I enjoy its aerobatics and nasal call. It’s that call that usually alerts you to their presence.

We have more than usual this year. Also the smaller brown headed Nuthatch. Not sure we had that up north.

None here unfortunately. Plenty of white-breasted though.

They are fun little birds. Have seen then off and on since spring here, and again today.

A beautiful capture of this cute little bird, Belinda. 😊 I usually find them a bit of a challenge to photograph because they’re so quick.

We have only the red-breasted nuthatches here but I’m sure they are very similar in many ways. Sweet birds.

We have them though I’ve never seen one. Both attractive birds.

Nice catch in its classic pose, Belinda. 👏🏼 Ours go off into the woods in summer and now that the feeder is up, they, along with chickadees and titmice, are back. Happy days!

I get lonely without them. I like seeing birds in the yard, no matter the season. Nature isn’t quite the same without them.

They’re particularly nice to see now that the season for flowers and insects is ending.
