CHANGE OF SEASON (TWO PHOTOGRAPHS)

end-of-season-2

At this point in the summer, the wildflowers have a more subtle beauty than earlier in the year. Their colours are less exuberant and seem to reflect the change of season. The first photograph made me think of a bouquet, minus the vase 🙂 With the unusually hot weather we’re having I hope the flowers hang on for a while longer.

Lovely chicory flowers, they are growing all over the place and I also hope they will hang on for a bit longer.

The change is coming. I have noticed the reeds and grasses becoming top heavy, bending down, and where once green now brown can be seen. While not the season of colors in New England (which I know I will miss terribly) a new photo op is coming 😀

Such delicate flowers, especially the blue ones.
