I like the brilliance of these red poppies but white poppies with their purple centres are appealing too.

These poppies look like crinkled tissue paper – beautiful both. I have not seen white poppies before.

I have some of those red oriental poppies (and I love them) but I don’t have any of those white ones. They are so delicate and those purple centers really set them off. Wonderful!

    The oriental poppies were given to me by a friend who died of cancer over 20 years ago and they always remind me of her. The wonderful thing about plants – they all have a story.
