
I turned around and there she was. I would have liked a bit more space between me and the duck but you’ve got to work with what you’ve got. Wood ducks are still in our area, I hope for a few more photo opportunities before they fly south for the winter.

Normally I like to capture some of the bird’s environment. But I tend to look at the “rules” as suggestions. Thanks very much.

Ain’t she sweet! When I see them at the local pond I visit they usually swim away quickly, but occasionally one is bold and waddles close like yours did.
