A lot of old houses have collections of glass bottles in the window which always catch my eye. The signage wasn’t very welcoming though and then I noticed the house number.

I have always believed that there are many stories hidden behind every door but sometimes the door can tell a lot .

This is a house with a tale to tell: boarded up glass in the door [must be dark inside]; no trespassing sign – I can’t read what is underneath that, but would ‘visitors unwelcome’ have been any better? No junk mail – who will refrain from that? I have piles of it shoved through our letter box at the gate. Then there is that wire hanging down … from what? At least those daylilies look cheerful 🙂
