Black-capped Chickadee

The chickadee, about to tuck into his snack, was at quite a distance from me but still in range. It’s nice to photograph birds and other animals when they’re engaged in some activity,  or as in this case, about to be.

  2. Such sweet birds – I only recently learned that they have to fly to a branch to eat a seed, because their beaks can’t break them apart without hammering them. Meanwhile, finches eat three to their one. Tough road!

  3. Beautiful Belinda. Chickadees move so quickly, they can be difficult to capture.

  5. We love these little guys, and it’s great to see another one in summer, when we can’t be there to see them ourselves. They are such a delight.
