Let’s just call it Honeysuckle 😏
(See comment below)
This plant is an attractive but invasive species introduced to North America in the late 1800s from Asia. Unlike the native honeysuckles they leaf out early and remain in leaf into the fall. Like many invasive plants, they are hardy and outcompete native plants for space and nutrients. They are pretty though and a common sight each spring.

Yes, we do. We have a lot of the peach-coloured ones.

They do have a strong fragrance, however, not everyone can handle its strong odor. They are in abundance everywhere here. My sinuses can’t handle it.

Lovely capture of an Amelanchier (Shadblow), which is a wonderful native, not to be confused with the indeed dreadful Asian Tatarian Honeysuckle https://gobotany.nativeplanttrust.org/species/lonicera/tatarica/
Hope you don’t mind my putting in my two cents, Belinda. 🙂

I appreciate the proper ID, Eliza and and I’m happy to hear that it was a native plant after all 😊

It’s different from our European honeysuckle. So many invasive species are detrimental aren’t they!

I have not seen these before. I am glad they are not evident here for we have an abundance of hardy invasives, nearly all of which have been imported for their ornamental qualities and then got out of hand.

I was mistaken in my identification of them (see Eliza’s comment). These are attractive and harmless.
